| Knysna Hill Climb 2010 |
Execuline Motor Insurance once again fuelled racing passion by getting behind a very successful Knysna Hill Climb. Being spoken of as; the South African equivalent of the renowned Goodwood Festival of Speed held in the UK, the event catered to historic, classic, modern road and race cars. The Idyllic Simola Estate and Knysna Estuary added to what we believe is the world’s most impressive hill-climb route.
114 of South Africa’s fastest cars were skilfully manoeuvred up the 2,1km hill climb while a former Red Bull air-race pilot performed dare devils stunts overhead. Geoff Mortimer driving a Mitsubishi Evo took victory in just 50.637 sec, with the Nissan GTRs and Subaru Impreza STI close on his heels. Alan Eustice representing Execuline Racing in his Formula Vee took 13th overall. “Three days of solid smiling had my face feeling sore at times. AMAZING event. Didn’t hear anyone who thought differently,” was a comment by one of the 5000 spectators.
