Diesel Claim
Our insured drives a diesel vehicle but instructed the petrol attendant to fill up with "unleaded". As there is no such thing as unleaded diesel, the attendant followed the instruction and fueled the vehicle with petrol which eventually caused major engine damaged.
The owner of the filling station was kind enough to accept 50% liability as there is an instruction on the inside of the petrol cap that only diesel is to be used. Both the insured and the petrol attendant should have been more vigilant.
